| At the beginning of March 2000, International School Moshi celebrated our Hands Across Africa week on both campuses. Hands Across Africa is now a major movement in international schools across the continent to ensure that our students have a good understanding of the peoples, culture and natural environment of Africa. Through embedding these areas into the curriculum we aim to raise students' awareness of African perspectives and issues. |

![]() | It was a fascinating and inspiring week. Primary students in Arusha campus were engaged in a wide variety of activities from Maasai spear-throwing and sandal-making to story-telling and Ethiopian bread-making, whilst their Moshi campus counterparts enjoyed batik printing, oil painting, and African doll-making. Secondary students worked on special African projects in various subject areas - from African Architecture through mathematical mat weaving to Francophone African studies. |
