IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
There will be 2 sessions of the AGM

One of the suggestions brought forth at our community discussion sessions was to have our AGM presentation on both campuses. It was indicated that if this were done, parent attendance would be greater than if it were again held at the airport venue as done last time. This idea was proposed to the leadership of the PA and they are more than willing to respond to this request if there is a possibility of greater attendance. For this reason, there will be two sessions of the AGM held, one on each campus. The AGM is an opportunity to vote for your PA representatives and catch up on current school issues. We encourage you to attend and be a part of the new spirit of ISM.

Details and more information concerning the PA AGM will be forwarded in a separate communication
Head of Campus Selection
Mr. Adrian Moody will be leaving our ISM community and his position as Head of Arusha Campus at the end of this school year to continue his international career elsewhere. As a part of our search for a replacement, we interviewed interested staff already working at ISM. A process was put into place which included a review of qualifications as well as personal interviews. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Eanna O'Boyle, the current Head of Secondary on Arusha Campus will be taking up the responsibilities of Head of Campus in the 2010-11.
BLOOD DRIVE
Many, many thanks to all those who tried donated blood. Also, a big thank you to all those who helped with refreshments and other aspects of making the Blood Drive a success. In total, 60 units of blood were collected!!! This will save quite a few lives!!!! The next one will be held next May hopefully and I hope even more people will donate. Once again thank you all so much.

School Holiday - Friday 27th November
Eid ul Adha is an Islamic Holiday which is observed at the end of the Annual Pilgrimage of the Hajj at Mecca. It is on the 10th Day of the Month of the "Dhul Hajj" of the Islamic lunar Calendar. Since the beginning of the month depends on the sighting of the moon, it is uncertain as to when the Idd day will fall on. It is expected that it will be on either 27th or 28th of November. In order for ISM community to plan their days accordingly, the school will recognize Friday, 27th November as the Idd holiday, and no classes will be held on that day. This day has been planned in the school calendar as such.
