International School Moshi Moshi Campus News - 29th November 2009 |
Dear Parents, Direct from the Director
Thank you to all who were able to attend the PA AGM meetings held at both campuses last week. The meetings opened with recognition that current policy was not being followed by having meetings on both campuses. The main reasons for doing this was to be responsive to parent remarks made at earlier meetings and attempt to rekindle interest in supporting the PA activities. Votes were taken at each meeting agreeing to the procedures to be followed in order to provide transparency in the actions taken in the absence of policy. The PA delivered a summary of their activities for the year and held elections for open seats on the PA Committee. The election results are listed below by campus and the PA Report is available by clicking here. The first meeting of the new PA Committee will be Wednesday, December 2nd on Moshi Campus.
The December Count Down
The month of December begins this week; with it, starts the December countdown. This is the short time between the beginning of the month and the beginning of the December/January vacation period. This same time period is also traditionally filled with important activities. For this reason, we have provided you with a calendar of events for the next three weeks.
Community, Action, Service
The CAS program is one of the components of our IB programs. Just recently, some of our D2 students took the opportunity to bring the philosophies to life, took action and provided a service to the broader community. Friday, 20th November nearly 100kg of clothes were delivered to the District Commissioner for the victims of the Same Landslide. Thanks to Régine and Dimple, both D2 students, for organizing this initiative at such short notice and thanks to all those who very generously donated the clothes.Sandra Riches CAS Coordinator Christmas Craft Fayre - Moshi Campus
