Dear Parents,The Hallowe'en PartyThe Primary Student Council invites you to the Hallowe'en Party on Friday, 2nd November in the Performance Area.We will start at 6.30pm. Children in Early Years Classes and P1/2 can be picked up at 7.30pm. The party continues until 8.30pm for students in P3, 4, 5, & 6. Secondary students will continue until later! Entrance cost will be 500/= per person. The money raised will be shared between a local orphanage and a school project. Parents' Association Annual General MeetingIn response to our concerns regarding night driving and road safety, we have changed the time for the Parents' Association Annual General Meeting to be held at KIA Lodge from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20. In addition, the Heads of Campus will arrange a bus to KIA Lodge leaving Moshi and Arusha that afternoon. Parents wishing to take the bus should contact the Heads of Campus directly.School TransportThis is to let you know that in order to ensure that behaviour, guidelines, routes and most importantly time is adhered to by all students who take buses to school it has been decided that four primary teaching assistants will be boarding these buses in the evening. The students have been informed about these changes. The students have also been asked not to delay the buses as has been the practice of some of them. We would be grateful if you could ensure that your child (ren) board the buses on their set times as the drivers have been instructed not to bring the children to school late. Unfortunately, they will have to leave those children who are not on the bus stands at their set time and they would have to find alternative transportation. School FeesWe are fast approaching the end of the month of October and, for those parents who are paying school fees by termly instalments, I would like to remind you that the normal date for receipt of the next instalment of fees is 1st November. As previously indicated, we do surcharge fees which are not received by the due date.If you are unsure of the status of your child's fees account, please contact our accounts office in Arusha on or by telephone on (+255) 27-250 5029. They will be happy to email you a statement of account. If you have already made a payment by bank transfer or bank credit or if you are planning to do so, please send full details of the payment to our accounts office so that we can identify and confirm the credit. In particular we need to know the currency and amount that you have transferred and which of our bank accounts you have transferred to, as well as the date of transfer. CanteenWe are currently in the process of reopening the canteen. I will notify parents when it is starting and the menu available.Lost and FoundRemember that items in lost and found are displayed each Friday at the main reception area. Please check each week.ValuablesPlease do not send valuables to school with your children in case of them being lost or stolen. Items such as phones, wallets, cameras are easy targets for theft.Label your child's name on items that they do have at school. There have been several cases when phones or medical kits have been lost and handed into the office but we have had some difficulty identifying the owners and watch for unknown items in your child's bag. Sometimes children accidentally misplace things and things can turn up in another child's bag. This can easily happen with younger children so should you come across an unknown item in your child's bag please send it back through the class teacher. SwimmingRemember that you need to buy membership cards if you wish to use the school pool. These are available from Loise at reception.Regards Adrian Moody Head of Campus Secondary NewsParent conferencesWe have received a few requests for conferences next week.
