Primary News
Dear Parents,
Early Childhood Excel
This past week from April 23rd to April 25th Early Childhood students had an extraordinary experience. Students took part in a three day movement and dance workshop at Umoja. Under the guidance of Tiana Razafy, Umoja's Director of Dance, students explored new and creative ways to move their bodies and use their imagination. Students pretended to be different kinds of animals and they performed a dance that required them to use chalk to create a mystical road that led far into their imaginations. Big fun was had by all!

This trip was the culminating activity for our unit of inquiry "Lets'Get Messy." Parents were treated to a special performance on Friday by students. It was spectacular! If you have the opportunity to go to Umoja and check out what they are doing I would highly recommend doing so. Explore your creative side!

I would also like to offer a very big and special thank you to the Patel family who provided the vehicles that transported us back forth for the three days.

Kristine Zydel, Regina Ngalawa and the students
