MYP Personal Project
Congratulations to all the M5 students on their personal project presentations on Wednesday. Much work has gone into the personal projects and I was impressed by the hard work and results of this last year of work. I was also impressed by the sophistication of many of the projects and their application to the areas of interaction. Well done to all students. Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the presentations.Congratulations
Congratulations to Natalie Croome and Michel Croisier on their engagement and upcoming wedding in January. We wish them happiness and great joy!End of Term
Today marks the end of the first semester. The next term will begin on Wednesday, January 14th, at 8.00 a.m. with normal classes.Darsh Pandit CD Launch Promoting Local Artists
On Sunday the 14th Dec Darsh Pandit launched a Hip Hop Album promoting local artists at Mawingu Club in central Arusha. This project, which will surely be the first of many for this gifted young producer, emerged out of his personal project question How Can I Promote Local Talent? The CD launch was a huge success with the artists performing over Darsh's beats and arrangements. The album includes the work of five local artist on eight tracts. The crowd steadily grew to near capacity and soon the joint was jumping! Many attending wore white T - shirts bearing the album cover designed by Conrad Brooks in M3. Darsh has done some excellent arranging and mixing on this CD. An outstanding effort for this first time producer. Watch out for the next concert promoting these newly recorded artists in February.Dira: Secondary Production
The secondary production is scheduled for Week 6 in Term 3. Get ready for a rhythmic, dancing and music extravaganza! Secondary students have been working very hard devising dances, music and script exploring music and rhythm around the world. This production should be lots of fun almost all secondary classes are involved and it should be a great show. The Summit
The December 2008 edition of The Summit was given to all students on Thursday, 18th December. You may also download a digital copy from www.ismoshi.org/summit0812.pdf.Dates to remember

Dear Parents,So much to celebrate!
Congratulations to our P3/4 students for a wonderful, informative presentation of their own cultures this week. Being able to identify similarities and differences and express their own understanding of not only their own, but their peers culture displayed increasing confidence in listening, speaking, viewing and presenting skills. Congratulations to all our swimmers who participated enthusiastically in our house swim gala today.Farewell!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish both Luca and Ella a safe transition to Nairobi and a wonderful start in their new school.Karibu!
Next Semester we are looking forward to welcoming the following families into the following classrooms:-
Early Childhood Staffing
We will also be welcoming a new teaching assistant who will be recruited over the holiday break to join Samantha, Ann-Joyce and the children in January. The increased staffing in this class is due to the wonderful increasing roll. I would like to congratulate both Samantha and Ann-Joyce for their commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable working environment for our students.P1/2 Staffing
With our increasing numbers in P1/2 we would like to welcome Ishbel Brydon who will be working with Diana and Faraja in the P1/2 area on a part time basis. For many of you who have spent time in Diana's classroom you will know how organized, structured and settling it is for our students entering the classroom. Through small group facilitated word work, writing workshops, reading labs and math inquiry programmes the children are being provided with a sound foundation upon which to continue growing and developing. Having Rosemary on board to support our ESL students has enabled our ESL students in this
room make great progress in all aspects of their language acquisition.P3/4 Staffing
