    Primary News

    Looking Back!
This week our P3/4 students had a wonderful experience visiting: Shanga, River house - thank you to Saskia and her Shanga team, Plaster house - thanks to Mads and her volunteers and an Mama Jane’s orphanage in Ngaramtoni - thanks to Tracey. Our students witnessed first-hand how by inspiring and teaching people a skill they in turn are able to become lifelong learners in a global community.

    EC Art Gallery Walk
If you were at school today you will have seen the wonderful artistic talents of our EC students. The students have presented both 2D and 3D artworks as part of their unit of inquiry about how we express ourselves using different media.

    Looking Ahead!
  • New Students
  • New Units of Inquiry and field study trips
  • New CCAs
  • Primary Inter School Swimming and Football Tournament in Moshi
  • Parent Teacher Child Conferences
  • PYP Exhibition
  • P6 Transition AND... More...
    What is the PYP Exhibition?
The PYP exhibition has a number of key purposes:
  • for students to engage in an in-depth, collaborative inquiry
  • to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning
  • to provide students with an opportunity to explore multiple perspectives
  • for students to synthesize and apply their learning of previous years and to reflect upon their journey through the PYP
  • to provide an authentic process for assessing student understanding
  • to demonstrate how students can take action as a result of their learning
  • to unite the students, teachers, parents and other members of the school community in a collaborative experience that incorporates the essential elements of the PYP
  • to celebrate the transition of learners from primary to middle/secondary education.

A meeting for P6 student parents and mentors will be held the first week back after the break on Thursday 15th April at 1.30pm

The PYP Exhibition will be shared with the wider community on Friday 28th May

    Warm Regards
