Dear Parents, I would like to thank the parents who have provided feedback on the changing of the Primary School hours for the next academic year. I shall take the responses to Campus Management next week and inform you of our decision in due course. Kilimanjaro 5km Fun Run The Kilimanjaro 5km Fun Run took place on Sunday March 4th and the students photographed below all competed in this event. Congratulations to them all for their commitment and enthusiasm to complete the course.Term 3 ClubsMany students have returned their forms for the Term 3 clubs and their clubs have been allocated accordingly. Choir is available for all students after April 16th when Emily, Alana and Upendo have prepared for the Variety night on April 20th, so others can still sign up for Choir. Mr. Jones would love some more members! Please note that if the form is not returned your child will not be allowed to participate in the After School Clubs programme next term.Primary Swimming Sports DayThis Friday, March 16th, is the primary swimming sports day commencing at 9.30am. The students are very enthusiastic about the event, which has resulted in a few more races than last year. I hope that we can finish the event as close to 12.35pm as possible but please forgive us if the timing goes over a little. All students need to bring: Book SaleThere will be a range of fiction and non-fiction books for sale on Friday after the Swimming Sports. Please feel free to browse at the books if you arrive early.PortfoliosWe hope that you have enjoyed sharing your child’s portfolios with them and that the question sheet was helpful. Please ensure that the portfolio is returned to school by Monday March 19th at the very latest.Student Led Conference DayThursday March 22nd is Student Led Conference Day beginning at 7.30am. The teachers have already displayed their sign-up sheets on the veranda side of their classrooms so please sign up early.I do wish to remind you that the Student Led Conference Day is a non-teaching day so your child does not come to school for the whole day. S/he comes with you for the one-hour conference time only and conducts the conference for you. If any children are sent to school on that day I shall be contacting you and asking for you to take them back home. Please note that THERE ARE clubs for the primary students during the final week of term. There will not be clubs on Thursday as the students have a non-teaching day and only attend school for the one hour Student Led Conference session on that day. We look forward to seeing you all on Friday at the Swimming Sports Day. Regards Kathy Slocombe Head of Primary |
