Moshi Primary News: 23 May 07

  Dear Parents,

There are just over two weeks to the end of term and many things will be happening in that time.

Sports Meeting at IST - May 25th to May 28th

This Friday, 15 students from the primary school are traveling to Dar es Salaam with Mrs. Sutherland and myself to participate in the IST Sports Meeting. Unfortunately Marco Gerstenkorn who should have been joining us for this event broke his arm last Friday and cannot participate. We will miss you Marco!

After School Activities

Please note that the after-school clubs finish next Thursday May 31st, however the Monday football session will not take place on May 28th as the instructors are unable to make this session. There may also be some disruption to next week’s activities as Karibu Hall is not available due to the Primary production preparations and the S5 Ceremony.

Primary School Production - Wednesday May 30th

This production will take place at 7pm on Wednesday May 30th and will last for approximately one hour. There will be an evening rehearsal on Tuesday May 29th, and parents have been informed of the times of this rehearsal in a separate letter. If your child has not brought in their costume for the production can you please ensure it is in school by Friday May 25th.

Following the production there will be a Bake Sale and a Book Sale. We would be very grateful if families could contribute cakes to sell on this evening. Please bring your contribution to Room 1 at any time on May 30th.

End of Year Picnic - Thursday June 7th

We would like to invite all families to join us for an end of year picnic at 12pm on Thursday June 7th. All families are asked to bring their picnic and enjoy the opportunity to get together and say ‘Goodbye’ to some of our primary students and the primary teachers.

Parents and students will also have the opportunity to swim if they wish.

Grace - Primary Assistant in P1/2

It is with regret that I write to inform you that Grace miscarried her baby a few weeks ago. She has asked us to inform all families of what has happened and the teachers spoke with the students today about this.

Regards
Kathy Slocombe
