Dear Parents, PYP Parent Workshop
On Monday 28th April there was a Parent Workshop on Mathematics in the PYP in Room 16. Unfortunately we did not get the large turn-out of parents we had hoped for but for the parents who did attend I feel they gained a greater understanding of how Mathematics is taught in the PYP. Many thanks to the parent who sent an e-mail to the staff thanking them for the evening - it is always good to get feedback on information sessions such as Parent Workshops (especially when the feedback is positive!).
Family Fun Day - Saturday April 19th
The Family Fun Day that took place on the Arusha Campus on April 19th was a very enjoyable day and it was nice to see so many Moshi families making the trip to Arusha.
Russian Ballet
On Sunday evening, May 4th, the Russian Ballet will be performing in Arusha at ISM Arusha Campus. I hope that this will be an enjoyable experience for everyone who is attending.
Swimming Gala and 7-a-side Football Tournament on May 10th
Next Saturday, May 10th, we will be hosting an international schools swimming gala and 7-a-side football tournament on the Moshi Campus. The students who are participating in either or both of these events will receive letters informing their parents of their selection on Monday, May 5th.The swimming gala will start at 9am with the warm-ups beginning at 8.45am. The 7-a-side football tournament will begin around 1pm depending upon the finishing time of the swimming gala and lunch. Moshi campus students who participate in either event are expected to attend the disco on Saturday evening at 7.30pm in the Dining Hall. This will also be attended by IST students Tanga International School students and Morogoro International School students. Mr. Steve will be DJ for the last time at ISM - so do not miss it! Many of the primary students still do not have indoor shoes or the appropriate shoes for walking to the swimming pool. Please ensure that your child has the appropriate footwear for this session each week.
ABRSM Practical Music Exams
These have now been confirmed as taking place in Moshi on Wednesday, 14th May. Students will be advised of their own exam times soon.
End of Year Picnic at TPC - Tuesday 10th June 10am to 2pm
The end of year celebration day will be at the home of Pascale Wiehe-Lagesse at TPC and not at the TPC Guest House as mentioned in my last newsletter. All parents are invited to attend the picnic on that day with their child(ren). Please inform me on the slip below whether you are attending this picnic and whether you can help with transporting students to TPC on that day.
