Compare US High School grades with IB & IGCSE
IB Diploma Grades
IB Grades are awarded for both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) subjects in the IB Diploma. All IB diploma courses would normally be regarded as honors courses. Universities and colleges are also encouraged to consider a student's total points score, as well as his or her score in individual courses. For internal purposes, ISM has estimated the following approximate equivalents between IB and US high school grades:Note that ISM does not calculate GPA, but the figures below give an approximate indication of how some US high school record these for IB diploma courses.

MYP Grades
IB Grades are awarded for individual subjects in the MYP (including the Personal Project) For internal purposes, ISM has estimated the following approximate equivalents between IB and US high school grades:Note that ISM does not calculate GPA, but the figures below give an approximate indication of how some US high school record these for IB MYP courses.

IGCSE Grades
IGCSE grades are awarded in a different way from US High School grades, particularly because of the distinction between Extended and Core courses. However, the table below gives an approximate equivalence used internally at ISM to help us equate IGCSE grades and US Grades. (Ref: CIE).Note that ISM does not calculate GPA.
