D of E International Award

ISM are proud to introduce the Duke of Edinburgh’s, International Award. The award is for students aged 14-24 and comprises of three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. To gain each award a student has to complete a skill, a physical activity, service and an adventurous journey. See: www.dofe.org. The Award is a process of personal and social development; the students learn from the new experiences they have and discover hidden capabilities and talents. It is about sustaining an ongoing commitment in activities of choice, perseverance, and developing good habits. The Award is fun and is great way to spend time with friends and making memories that will last forever by meeting people, volunteering and being active, young people become invested in their community and develop long lasting friendships.

The Award shows commitment and achievement, as well as dedication to a variety of activities. It also gives young people an opportunity to talk about themselves and their passions outside of their formal education.

Please note that this year we will only be offering the Bronze Award and, initially, on Arusha Campus only.
