We are presently seeking applications for teaching positions which start on 1st August 2018.

Deputy Head of Campus

This administrative position is to provide support for the Head of Campus in all aspects of managing the campus. Previous administrative experience is required. The Deputy Head of Campus will also have a teaching role depending on his/her qualifications and experience.

Mathematics Teacher

To teach IB mathematics classes in both the MYP and Diploma up to Higher Level. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Chemistry and Science Teacher

To teach IB Chemistry to both Diploma and MYP classes, as well as some MYP integrated science classes. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Design Teacher

To teach Design to IB MYP classes. IB MYP experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

English and ESL/Learning Support Teacher

To teach regular English classes, English as a Second Language classes, and to provide Learning Support to students in need of language-related support. This teacher will be working mainly with students in the MYP and Diploma years. Previous IB experience would be a significant advantage but is not required.

Individuals and Societies Teacher

To teach IB I&S (Humanities) classes to both MYP and Diploma students. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Primary Classroom Teacher

To take full responsibility for the learning needs of a primary class. IB PYP experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

College and Socio-emotional Counsellor

To provide socio-emotional support for students of all ages in the context of this international day and boarding school. The successful applicant will also provide college counselling support for Diploma students. Previous counselling and college advisory experience is essential.

Any applications for either Moshi or Arusha Campus should include a full CV/résumé and the names and addresses (including e-mail addresses) of two professional referees. It is important to include details of any family members who may accompany you; we are unlikely to offer employment to a spouse unless as part of a teaching couple and local employment opportunities are extremely limited. Current Tanzanian regulations mean that we are only able to consider teachers under fifty five years of age who have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience.

As a minimum requirement, all applicants for teaching positions must have a first degree and a teaching qualification that entitles them to teach in their home country. International teaching experience is also desired.
