| ISM has been grateful for the valued support of Kahama Mining Corporation Limited (KMCL) to fund students in our Scholarship Programme. KMCL is a large mining company based in Kahama District in Shinyanga Region. As part of their commitment to the wider community they agreed to sponsor four students from two government schools in Kahama District. Both Catherine Kayila and John Leonard who joined ISM in 2004 have now successfully obtained good International Baccalaureate Diplomas. Daniel Mundeva and Mhula Ngassa joined S3 in Moshi in January 2004 and expect to graduate in May 2008. |

The extension of the scholarship scheme would not have been possible without the support from KMCL and our thanks go out to them for their commitment to widening the access for ordinary Tanzanian students to quality international education within Tanzania. A special thanks must go to Ms. Aida Kiangi, the former Community Development Manager at KMCL, who played a vital role in the development of this project. We look forward to our scholarship students achieving success in ISM and hope that the programme can be extended to other regions in Tanzania through the help of other companies or organisations. | ![]() Kishimba Secondary School |
