The weekend of the 8th-10th of December was a weekend to remember for all who participated. ISM hosted the 6th inter-schools sports weekend, with the following schools attending; ISM Moshi and Arusha campuses, IST, Dar-es-Salaam and Sandford School, Ethiopia.
Friday night started off with tough competition in the basketball, which ended with ISM (Moshi) coming out as the champions in both senior boys and girls. Saturday morning commenced with the doubles tennis, as well as the junior girls football. Unfortunately the junior girls did not win, but the senior boys and senior girls doubles went on to win the entire tennis tournament. The morning continued with senior girls’ football, which became very intense when ISM (Moshi) played IST and the final outcome was a draw at 0-0.
The afternoon kicked off with the swimming with a joint team between ISM Moshi and ISM Arusha. Sandford did not participate, thus causing real rivalry between ISM and IST which resulted in IST winning by a small margin. With adrenaline still pumping, senior boys and senior girls took to the rugby field to play some contact rugby. ISM Moshi boys dominated the entire game, beating ISM Arusha first and then IST. Nevertheless, the boys weren’t the only ones who dominated; the Moshi girls beat ISM Arusha and then went on to to play touch rugby against IST and beat them as well. The day finally came to a close with a barbeque and a disco which was enjoyed by all.
