welcome to:

Sports Facilities at ISM

ISM has always been a leader at sports. Every year it holds different sports activities. The school has many different sources for sports. It has nice play grounds, courts, stables, swimming pool and many other facilities. There is also a well-equipped weight training room available for S5s and IB students, and Taekwondo self-defense training is available for everyone.

ISM organizes different competitions on different sports. Different schools from Dar-es- Salaam, Arusha, Nairobi, Tanga and elsewhere have been cooperating with ISM in sports for a long time now.

At ISM  everyone participates in sports. Students of different ages and gender participate in sports. There are girls who are very good at football and rugby (sports which many people think that only boys can do well).  Teachers have their own football team and they always play on weekends. They hold matches with different teams almost every Sunday.

Below are some pictures of courts and playgrounds at ISM:

The swimming pool at ISM is 25 metres long and 12.5 metres wide. The shallow end is 0.9 metres and the deep end is 2.1 metres. This swimming pool is available to students and students' parents. Good swimming equipments and swimming training are also available.

A nice dark green football/rugby pitch attracts many people, especially students who use it the most. There is also a lower pitch (not in the picture) which is a bit smaller than the upper pitch (shown in the picture). This lower pitch is suitable for primary students.

There are three nice Volleyball courts which are all in good shape. Volleyball is one of the most popular sports at ISM.

ISM also has very nice tennis courts. The ISM tennis courts are all in good shape and are used by many individuals. ISM students and some parents come to play. These courts can be even used in nights because of the high quality lights around the courts. The courts are also surrounded by fencing which helps players find stray balls.

The Basketball court is of very high quality. It is also surrounded by fencing.
Karibu Hall is a suitable building for indoor sports. Students use it very much. As you can see in the picture, Karibu Hall is a big building with different types of courts. People can play indoor  soccer, basketball, netball, badminton, etc. This hall can be used at any time, doesn't matter whether it is day or night.

THANKS FOR TAKING A LOOK AND YOUR MOST WELCOME TO JOIN THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
