This week we have seen the PYP students busy busy busy: from P6 exhibition preparation, teacher appreciation day, snakes in EC (not real ones) and inter-house cross country.
P6 have been practicing hard to get ready for their exhibition on Tuesday 15 May, at 17.00. Before then, they will be having a ‘dress rehearsal’ on Monday morning, with students coming from St Constantine’s, Braeburn and Kennedy House. We wish them all the best in their preparations.
On Thursday the Primary Student Council organised a ‘teacher appreciation’ day, where students dressed as staff and staff as students. There were many ‘Miss Liz’s’ and ‘Mr Olivier’s’, as well as at least one very suave ‘Mr Phil’. A great initiative. Mr Hoover and Mr Hoover are pictured left!
EC have been creating indigenous Australian art, within their unit on storytelling through art. This week they, and their buddies from P3, made aboriginal patterned snakes and snake puppets from old socks – I knew I had lost some socks somewhere!
In secondary we have seen the continuation of the IB Diploma and MYP examinations. Five of our D2s completed their exams this week – well done to them. We continue next week and will complete all exams on Friday 18 May.
This Saturday is U13 Netball and Rugby at Kennedy House. Good luck to all our teams.
Have a great weekend,
