2018/19 School Year

We are presently seeking applications for teaching positions which start on 1st August 2018.

Mathematics Teacher

To teach IB mathematics classes in both the MYP and Diploma up to Higher Level. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Visual Arts/Design Technology

To teach IB Visual Arts to both Diploma and MYP classes. Also to teach Design Technology to MYP Classes. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Learning Support Teacher

To lead the Learning Support team on Arusha Campus. Teaching responsibilities for the whole campus will be shared with an assistant. The successful candidate will work alongside the EAL teacher to organise the Learning Support department.

Humanities Teacher

A teacher of Individuals and Societies to MYP Classes. An ability to teach Geography and/or History to DP level will be an advantage as that will be a need in the successful candidate’s second year. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Primary Classroom Teacher

To take full responsibility for the learning needs of a primary class. IB PYP experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

Chemistry and Science Teacher

To teach IB Chemistry to both Diploma and MYP classes, as well as some MYP integrated science classes. IB MYP and/or Diploma experience is not required but would be a significant advantage.

College and Socio-emotional Counsellor

To provide socio-emotional support for students of all ages in the context of this international day and boarding school. The successful applicant will also provide college counselling support for Diploma students. Previous counselling and college advisory experience is essential.

Any applications for either Moshi or Arusha Campus should include a full CV/résumé and the names and addresses (including e-mail addresses) of two professional referees. It is important to include details of any family members who may accompany you; we are unlikely to offer employment to a spouse unless as part of a teaching couple and local employment opportunities are extremely limited. Current Tanzanian regulations mean that we are only able to consider teachers under fifty five years of age who have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience.

As a minimum requirement, all applicants for teaching positions must have a first degree and a teaching qualification that entitles them to teach in their home country. International teaching experience is also desired.
