Last Chance to Register for the ISTA Festival!
Arusha 2 weeks ago

Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to enlist your child in the world’s leading drama workshop for international schools. No need to travel across the globe, ISTA is being hosted by Arusha Campus this year!

We are delighted to announce that ISMAC will be hosting an International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) festival from 10th-12th May, 2019. ISTA is a fantastic organisation which brings professional actors and directors to work with students over three days to create a final performance. Schools will be coming from all over the world. If your son/daughter is interested in drama and theatre, this is an opportunity which should not be missed!

Please see the website for more details: https://ista.co.uk/ There is also a video available, which gives more insight, here: https://vimeo.com/271338526.

We are hosting a middle school festival which will be aimed at 10-14 year olds. The cost for participating students from our school will be approximately 600,000tsh, which includes all of the workshops, transportation to and from trips, and food, plus a t-shirt. We will also require students who take part to host two students from visiting schools. This will most likely be from 9th-12th May. During this time, some of their meals will be provided by school but some will need to be provided by their host families, as well as transportation to and from school for rehearsals (which your own child will also be attending).

We have 20-30 places available and these will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to register your child(ren), please email Miss Arora at amya@ismac.ac.tz.

We are so excited about this amazing opportunity!

Khanga Gala Success
Moshi 3 weeks ago

Thank You

Thank you to everyone that attended the Khanga Gala. It was the second wonderful year of this event and more than a few people asked if it could become an annual event on the ISM Calendar. I would like to note that a dedicated body of parents and community members worked extremely hard to make the Gala happen for our enjoyment. Particular mentions should go to Brigitte, Caroline, Elmarie, Gelske, Geraldine, Heloise, Karen, Maria, Marlies, Mie, Mwegelo, Sanae, Tahera, and everyone else that helped out.

The food and entertainment during the evening was superb. The catering was a collaboration between Hatari Lodge; R and V catering and Vegetables Are Healthy with the table drinks provided by Upper Zonal Trading. The music was by Congo Serpent Eagle and DJ Paul.

Our special guest speakers were Dr. Elifuraha Laltaika and Dr. Miriam Matinda who shared their own experiences and how scholarships started them on their own roads to success.

Much of the money raised at the Gala was due to the generous donations of trips and other items that were part of the raffle and silent auction. Through these and other sources the Gala raised about $12,000 towards scholarships for Tanzanian students at ISM.

Thank you once again to everyone and I hope to see you at next year’s event.

Quite simply, we have the best swimming facilities that anyone could imagine. Amazing changimng rooms and pool looked after by an amazing lifeguard Jo, and our coaching duo of Jo and Kevin are professional, expert and everyone loves them!

So, whether you want to be part of the Arusha Campus Swim Team or if you are a parent who just wants a bit of gentle exercise every week, please come along to our pool and jump in!

Below you can read about our top swimmers who competed in Dar es Salaam this week. There is also an invitation for swimmers to join our Early Morning Swim Group with Coach Kevin. This would be an ideal way for footballers, netballers and basketballers to stay in shape.

Finally if you are a parent who would like to use the pool then simply see Phil, Caroline or Greg at Reception and we will make a swim ID card for you.
